Failure mode categories are used to further clarify the types of failure modes. When the failure mode is selected, the Category field is auto-populated and if needed, can be displayed in the record.
The system allows you to create as many categories as you want. You may first want to configure your failure modes then set up the category which will be applied.
Example Failure Mode Categories
Failures can be categorized or grouped for better reporting of failure analysis. Following are a few examples showing failures and the categories that may be assigned to those failures:

User Rights
The following rights must be assigned to a user for that user to manage or view failure mode categories:

Allows the user to access and view failure mode categories. |
